Hi AJ,
You're right, there certainly are more companies on the market offering suspension systems for muscle cars than ever before. However just because an A-Arm is made out of tubular steel and finished in black powdercoat doesn't mean its the same as all the others.
Hotchkis 2nd Gen F-Body A-Arms have some key features that none of the other companies offer. Take a look at our lower control arm spring cup and compare it with others on the market. Everyone else puts a few stitch welds onto a cup that sits between the tubes. On our arm, we notch-cut the tube for a precise press fit with the CNC machined integral spring cup, then fully TIG weld the whole thing. It creates a much stronger, more rigid final product.
We also include stackable CNC cut ride height shims that allow you to fine tune the ride height for perfect stance. Finally, all our arms are designed in CAD, then FEA tested for strength, then track tested for performance before the first production part is ever assembled, and we use all-domestic materials and hardware. We recognize that some consumers are willing to pay a little more for a quality product they know will perform that's designed, tested and manufactured in the USA.
As for the actual price point, if you check withe some of our dealers (here on the board and elsewhere) you'll find they run sales all the time with lower prices that are the same as, or even lower than some of the companies you mentioned. Let me know if you have any questions.
