Be sure to reinforce the rear strut mounts and use solid upper mounts if you use the BMW IRS. Find a wrecked M, and I think some Z's had a stronger rear-end. The 3 series are notorious for tearing out the rear strut towers under hard use. I've ripped through 3 sets of mounts in past cars. I finally went to solid mounts on my M3, but didn't keep it long enough to see how well they lasted. I'd weld in a good cage, that body won't last long with any real power. At a minimum get the 'X' brace used in 'verts bolted in.
