Give it time, took me a few months to feel comfortable on the thumper coming from a YZ250, now I can't stand the 2 strokes. I do a lot of grandprix style events as well as moto-x. Granted my 426 with the higher compression and cams feel more like a 2stroke with the power band, it still has the great power delivery and brutal torque

Nothing like having a bike you can moto on the weekends and will run 100+mph in the desert.
