The motor was a mild 383...about 425 horsepower at the crank. Not much different than the Vette.

The BMR Chevelle pulled 0.93g on the skidpad. The C5 Corvette pulled 0.90g. Both of those numbers seem a little low to me, but the track was really dusty/sandy and the track surface was not the greatest. However, both vehicles were tested on the same day at the same skidpad by the same driver, so it was a very fair comparison.
