Isn't there some "statement" about if you haven't gone off track - then you haven't been going fast enough??

Big difference there between going too fast - vs a total brake failure... The pucker factor has to be 10X's ?? It's one thing entering too fast and at least being able to TRY to slow a bit... And entering and have NO BRAKES... It's never happened to me (limited track time to Bondurant and Spring Mountain) - but I can only imagine that it's a real unpleasant experience!

So the carbon rotors take some heat to work "better"? Or is it that they work fine and then just get better with heat? Some pads (against normal rotors) take some heat to work - as I understand it - and can be a nightmare on the street...
