Good to see someone else with some track knowledge around here. Love your 914 its a monster

I've only got 6 track days under my belt with the Camaro so I'm still learning. I'll take that into consideration. Earlier in the day I did the right thing.. I noticed that same thing about my oil pan and said it to my friend when looking at the photos. I was going to slow by that point, I think I went off track to get out of the way of other drivers more than anything. I was definitely coming in WAY too hot though.

Better safe than sorry.

If you ever get out in your 914 toss me a PM I'd love to see it run. What groups do you run with? VARA? I Imagine the PCA guys are disgusted with you

I have seen, personally, 3 cars in the wall and have heard of many more.

Look at pic 3 in your sequence, another good reason to just go straight off... when you strattle the edge of the pavement like that, the run off is lower and so forth and you oil pan looks really close - one good rut in the dirt at the left wheel and you could smack that pan. I pulled sideways back onto WSIR one time (similar angle to what you are driving back on at) and drug the bottom of my car once (fully flat bottom) so just be careful, would hate to read the "blew my motor going off" thread
