I am going through the same thing on my '70. I have the choice of partial quarters. full quarters or patch whats there. I am going the full panel option. In the long run it will be a better car and I will get to see and replace if needed the wheel houses and everything else. I may even do a new roof panel. I think if you bite the bullet and do it all now the right way you will be happier in the long run. Good luck.
