Depending on the situation you could spend anywhere from $20K for your own booth or be paid to bring your car to someones booth, and everything in between. We went our first year on our own nickel.

To be honest, showing at SEMA is more for your own ego then promoting your builds. It is all other builders there, so the chances of someone saying WOW, that is killer, here is a quarter million, build me one! Are slim and none. You would do way better running the Goodguys circuit with end users to promote your builds.

BUT.......................... if you need to say, "I had a car at SEMA" as a 100 things to do befoire your die line item, then go for it.
