I am not in a position to be on here often enough to squash an issue like this when it comes up. This post went 5 days before I even was made aware of it, so when it comes to making the members happy, I'm not being successful.

Regarding the off topic edit-

They were allowed to say what they wanted, took it off topic in the first place, and it was left up for DAYS while thousands of people viewed it. I respond to it and that gets my post edited, the thread moved, and the resolution of the matter undetermined. You wanted to be fair and just; where was the removal of that stuff initially? Only when I call a spade a spade do you decide to take action because you know that it will cause you headaches trying to clean it up via PM.

Like I told Scott- what you allow for one should be allowed for all. You let Fesler bitch about me in a thread that has nothing to do with him and me, you should at least let me respond in kind.

Tyler
we were waiting on you to respond to the original poster, so the thread stayed open. The comments directed at you could have been removed, that may have been a mistake on our part. Your response to that (although funny) was way beyond his, so it had to be edited. By then the whole thread was going off track, so it was moved until we decided what to do with it. Your comments on not sponsoring the site were seen as a slam in my opinion, as well as every other moderator who read them. You may not have intended that, but that's how it came across. The last comments I referred to was obviously your opinion of how we moderate and run the site, and you're entitled to them. If we edit one guys side in a thread we're "taking sides". If we close a thread that gets heated or off track, we're "hiding the truth or protecting someone". If a thread gets deleted people are upset that the info isn't around for all to see. You can't win as a moderator. The members don't always see everything that has been posted in a thread, or don't know about the discussions behind the scenes. Any time something is moderated it's (in our opinion) for the good of the site or to keep things in line with how Scott wants things done. We try to be impartial and to protect members and vendors alike, but there will be times when it appears differently, that's just the way things happen.
