Agreed.
It's fairly obvious where the bid came from and what this guy is trying to do. It's a poor decision by the builder. E-Scam-bay already has enough sellers using their buddies to make false bids and jack prices up on cars that usually aren't as described, we certainly don't need more of it.
On a side note, it's interesting to see this other '69 for sale. I had that Super Chevy magazine sitting on my coffee table for quite a while and this particular car was a big source of inspiration for my own build:
