So... I'm an internationally licensed pyrotechnician --- licensed to blow just about anything up. When my son was a teen -- sometimes he'd come help me with breaking down boxes and stuff.... and I always warned him that a REAL explosion is not like the ones you see on TV -- where the good guy RUNS from the scene and escapes unharmed... LOL

Trust me - you ain't got time to duck behind something... that crap hits you - and you're toast! Even if it's small and seemingly harmless... it's all about velocity.

I too, am glad only the motor got hurt.

Great video... and a real good reminder of what can and will happen.

Back in the day -- the 'digger' drivers sat with their nuts right up against the rear end housing --- about 1 inch away from that big ol' ring and pinion... I always wondered what the hell they were thinking!!
