Okay I like you have been doing tons of research on this

If your trying to tuck the tire in the wheel well - this is what I can tell you.

So far I've found out that a 285 -- 26 1/2" tall will fit ( 10" rim )

The 295 will fit but you have to beat the seat belt hump and may want to consider rolling the fender lip ( ps i have a fender roller - both versions now )

But the height of tire has 26 1/2 max

If your goal is to go really low then you have the worry about the fact that the rear quarters are swept or layed over big time on a second gen.

I am trying to figure out I am going to put a 28" tall tire and set that car at a 6" ride height.

One of my options would be what Dan Holohan did on the Sick Fish when he worked at Rad Rides. He actually leaned the rear quarter out and re-did the metal work.
