The outlets and switches and covers are the colors that I used when I built it. I know they aren't real attractive, but I think black would stand out too much, white... well, I don't have any white in the garage, but that might look better over all. The 4 switch stainless covers are out there. The local home big box store should have or be able to get them, if not a local electrical supply house will have them. As for the toe kicks, the cove base will save them. It is really easy to install, it comes in a giant roll or in 4 foot lenghts and can be found at most home improvement stores. I have installed HUNDREDS of cabinets in commercial applications and anything you can do to protect your investment will help. Or if you are sure you will never have water/fluids on the floor in any kind of quantity then leave it. Either way you have a really nice set up there. REALLY NICE!
