I'm more interested in the fundamentals of how the system functions, the interfaces, the sensors and servos, the types of look-up tables used, how the system detects malfunction/trouble and then provides that data for troubleshooting via some user interface. Wasn't looking at how to program or modify a system - just get a really good understanding on how they operate.
I worked at Ford for a while back in the early 80's and received some very good training like that described above on their EEC 4 systems in use at the time. Just looking for the same kinda deal covering the LS series. In aviation we also get the same info for autoflight systems and EEC's for fly-by-wire engine control.
