I've only seen a few of them, and no pics were taken on my part, but the ones I saw with extended cowl hoods similar to yours had the hood opening forward, and it was a pretty clean setup. Looked like a billion hours of fab work, but it actually looked nice---and no, none of them incorporated the Lambo type doors on them. The first thing I thought of was how nice it would be getting to the header bolts and the # 7 & 8 plugs with a forward opening hood. Good luck with yours and it looks like a very cool project.
