I've used goodmark parts alot and I've also used the NOS stuff as well. The only difference I see in the two is that the NOS stuff will typically have cleaner lines ( More crisp). It really just takes a lot of time and patience to get either to fit. And by what you've said in relation to how your quarter is fitting I'm pretty sure you just need to spend more time with it.
