While Starling "swarms" are very cool to watch, you can also view them from another perspective: invasive non-native species, no limit, shoot 'em year round. Even the Department of Fish & Game agrees!

Further south down near Patterson around this time last year they had some groups they estimated at 1.5-2 million birds. That was very cool to watch. It's hard to believe how many birds are in the air at once.

Bring a hat if you intend to get close.
