Nothing to exciting. I'm just getting as ready as possible for my new engine. I managed to order 2 fittings the wrong size from vintage air or I'd have the unit in the dash and done...
I did start crimping some lines. I've been spending some time at the nursing home trying to keep this old guys spirit up. He just happened to have a crimper he borrowed me. Thanks Greg!
I cleaned all my accessories and they are ready to go back on. I also brushed my puke tank and coolant resorvoir. I sealed them with metal sealer. They are supposed to sit a day or two before wiping it off. I'll be running 2 puke tanks so I'll have to go through the whole process on the new one to match it. I had them both polished up and looking pretty. Wasn't feeling it.
I pulled apart my accumulator to clean out all the old oil and possible debris even though it's after the oil filter. What a bitch getting that thing apart. I got all the oil out of it with some brake cleaner and then headed for the kitchen to was everything with soap and hot water. I got caught in the act and she didn't say a word.
Anytime I deal with internals, I like to use paper towels. It's clean as a whistle and back together. I thought some of you might be interested in the inner working of an accumulator. Super simple piece that most engine builders swear by.
