The ‘Cuda AAR-10 is based on top of a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, and keeps the basic lines that made the Barracuda one of the most sought after muscle cars of the era intact. It was designed by Reuben Zammit of Racer X Design, with the help of David J Meyer who brought the insight on the history of the ‘Cuda.

Styling

It is all about mixing the old with the new. The body styling only concentrates on small subtle changes to keep the car’s elegant lines intact. Saying that, there are a lot of changes that are not so obvious at first glance. That is what takes this apart from other modified Plymouths.

Side

The C-pillars have been sharpened together with a thicker roof line giving the car a more modern look. The side exhausts that were a trademark on the original 1970 AAR ‘Cuda are now a smooth part of the body. The side stripes are a new mixture of the hockey stripe and the AAR ’Cuda originals. The wheels are a custom design for the car. All these changes together with other minor changes like the handles and redesigned arches all compliment the already beautiful lines of the barracuda, making it look fresh without looking overdone.

Rear

The rear end incorporates a new light panel and lights, together with a diffuser that will aid the AAR-10 gain more downforce. The rear wings are more squared off to continue with the rear bumper and provide a larger bottom area for the diffuser.

Front

The whole front end has been modified but kept flowing with the rest of the car. Most people will notice the 71 Cuda inspired front grille matched to custom single headlights. Shorter front overhangs match the more pointed front end making the car look more proportionate.
