All of the items you discussed are all valid and important considerations. Thanks for the comments, it is something I have to go back and forth on because it will continue to pick at me. For now, I'll probably stuff it back as close to the firewall as possible and or reshape the firewall to retain pedal and AC space. Either way, I'll post a couple picks.
