We didn't specify the Snell rating but most track day events require the use of a Snell 2005 certified helmet. Use your own judgement - maybe it's time to retire the cool custom painted helmet and drop a couple dead presidents on a new one.

Okay then I'll use my judgement - the last competitive driving event I was in...I was able to use it - we'll leave it at that then (which was just a little before 2005...LOL).
I talked one of my friends into signing up with his killer 66 Vette with a set of custom 18 wheels/tires. The rest is bone stock and he wants to see what the car will do. Stock the 66 Vette with four wheel four piston fixed caliper brakes and full independent suspension did well it its day vs. the other door slammers that rolled out of Detroit. I think he will have a blast.
Trying to get a few other's to sign on. Two of my co-worker's cars are too far out to be done in time.
I have another co-worker with a cosworth Vega - pretty neat car, and I think it would be blast. Problem is he doesn't have decent wheels and tires so he is opting out.
Working on it though.
