Ya, I have a big block not some weeny little LS engine.
I run all my autocrosses in 2nd. I rev it to 6800 which is about 80mph. The torque curve is so good that it works well at 2500 as well. I didn't have much traction out there today. I ran the El Toro road race in 3rd gear and never shifted out of it once. The linear power is hard to beat for what I'm doing. You need to get out and do some autocrosses and road races. You'll be hooked. Where else can you go as fast as you want without getting a speeding ticket or killing yourself? You have no clue what that car will do until you take it off road. Trust me...
