I never received a reason. Just a form with an "X" in the little box for "Defendant does not owe plaintiff anything"
My only guess is that since they had a smog certificate, whether they got it legally or not, they followed the law and I didn't have a leg to stand on. The judge also asked me multiple times if I did anything to modify it, so I'm pretty sure he didn't believe me that I touched nothing on it.
He probably thought I was just another punk kid who was mad he got a ticket and wanted to blame other people. Not an OIF vet wanting to have a fun daily driver.
