I won't run a March anymore - it's another part (a bunch of 'em) that is laying on the shelf... they squeak and don't have an auto tensioner. Plus - I hate the cheap azz looking tensioners they come with and they rattle.
Went with a Billet Specialties unit -- LOVE IT... and the auto tensioner works great and makes for quick belt removal if needed.
So when I got the BS unit - it comes with a brand new Edelbrock water pump. They use O rings on this unit... and I put it on and all back together - fill it with water --- got a leak at the pump! WTF! Okay - all back off ('cause it must be something I did wrong!) and I notice the O ring is messed up. New O rings = reinstall - water it up -- LEAKING again... now I'm pissed... I'm a bad mechanic but not that bad... tear it all apart - check surfaces for flatness - call BS for specs on the O ring - check torque specs - VERY CAREFULLY reinstall - water her up - LEAKS LIKE A F'n PIG... Now I'm going crazy... walk away for a day or so..... this time I'm really looking a ever part - is the block cracked? The pump cracked? That's when I finally notice that the BORE on the pump is WAY OFF - skewed to one side by like a quarter of an inch! It's cutting the O ring... I had to take pictures of it to show BS - which they're probably still laughing at. They replaced the pump UPS next day air... They are a good company.
