This is basically the deciding factor as far as cost goes.

My brother and I are doing pretty much all the work on our build. Seeing someone drop six figures on a build just seems absolutely out of this world, but when you factor in labor it suddenly makes sense. The hours add up quickly, especially when someone needs to get paid.

I don't imagine our car will cost more than $20k, and that includes the engine build and a paint job.

I also don't think aftermarket support should be a deciding factor in what car you choose to build from. As long as you're passionate and unafraid of getting your hands dirty, you can make anything work.
