You can write off anything higher than the value of the item (in this case the car)..
Dave (who bought the car and last year's car for $500k) does this to support the troops.. a true patriot who cares about our military.
In the three years the Project American Hereos deal has raised over $850,000 for the troops.
Look for those companies that sponsored it and throw a thanks their way for the donations.
