It's all about the SUMP... it's a must have for EFI. The sump can either be internal or external - but you've got to have one. An old style carb pick up just won't work for EFI.

If you're on the cheap - then get a sump (or make one - it's a box with an outlet) and use an external pump and filter set up. Use your existing line as the return line.

You've already mentioned the Aeromotive sump so you know that is available and relatively inexpensive.

Be sure to locate the sump at the REAR of your tank... a low fuel level - and an uphill climb (or a hard launch) will push all the fuel to the rear where your pick up point needs to be.

You also need to be sure the return doesn't aerate the fuel near the pick up point. EFI doesn't like air bubbles.
