Totally agreed. Not only does it give people direction, but it grooms them to be better citizens overall IMHO. I'm ex-Navy Crypto.

I'd be proud if my son joined the military. My buddy is a SSGT Army 31B (MP) and he just got back from his 3rd deployment over to the 2 sandboxes. He's a reservist. So I'm sure the Active guys are over there quite frequently rotating in and out annually. With the economic breakdown we've been in for 2+ years now the military is the safest bet. They are actually shutting down recruiting facilities because they are at near maximum capacity % wise. No one is getting out.

I tried getting back in as a Navy Crypto Officer after I got my degree in 2009.....and it's damn near impossible with any special waivers needed. (my eye)
