The CTS-V F-body is from PACE brandnew and they have a CTS-V corvette which I was going to buy.
I started reading some info in my HOW TO SWAP GM LS-SERIES ENGINES INTO ALMOST ANYTHING book ( I know kinda cheezy but I had to start some where) and it said the the F-body damper is 3/4 longer then the corvette and that the 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 truck engines are 1 1/2 inches longer.
The damper I have now and water pump fit perfect with the F-body CTS-V but the problem I have is the alternator hits my rack/pinion.
Now this book hasn't been totally right. Other things like the correct oil pan to use for a mustang 2 front end was wrong. It said I must use a corvette pan but that didn't work so I bought a camaro pan and it fit fine.
I bought a very cool engine with some great parts but it seems like Im slowly having to change things to get it to work.
This engine is going into a older Fatman mustang 2 frame. For my 69 firebird. I had a SBC with a 5 speed before the swap. o I had to get different bellhousing and clutch to handle the 500+HP.
