I've done a couple of marine blower motors and agree w above. If I'm not mistaken, most blower applications (roots, screw, centrifigul) use the same unit for marine or automotive. Engine differences have to do with cams, valve selection (inconnel exhaust), wet exhaust, forged bottom ends, sealed accessories, etc...

Marine motors are set up like RV's going up a hill, little momentum beyond the motor's acceleration. Always on, lots of heat!
