the specific tire you use has alot to do with fitment. some brands are wider than others.
I'm a fan of taller tires. a taller tire actually gives you more ground clearance by merit of its larger diameter, but also makes the car look lower by reducing the tire to fender gaps. or in my case, fender to rim gaps.
