I used H&R springs that put the car on a little bit of a rake. I'm using Bilstein shocks but I don't think that makes much difference in ride height. I still have some wheel to fender gap (which was also one of my concerns). Maybe 22s and rubber band tires will fill the fender wells.
Btw, the car is a '85 IROC.
