You also have to look at the rest of the car. Mist Green is a vintage color. So it begs for other vintage cues such as cast spoke wheels, the right amount of chrome trim and as you mentioned--a matching interior such as darker green. Even a black vinyl top can help complete the look.
So if you absolutey must have the latest Budnik trick of the week 22" polished wheel, Mist Green may not work.

It sounds like you dig the color. You can now get large diameter tires with vintage redline stripes. Wrap em around cast spoke wheels such as the offerings from Vintage Wheel Works or PS Engineering, complement the look with the right upholstery, lower the car to draw more attention to those redlines....and you'll be beating off the bidders and onlookers with a stick.
