Thanks for the info! I have been holding off on buying a CNC plasma till I get more info... I would not use it for tight tolerance pcs.. would rather laser or water jet... developing a good working relationship with my vendor that does water jet cutting in my area.. The CNC plasma would be great for quick pcs that need to be made that we need radius or trianglulation... If it were up to me .. We would CNC mill everything but that is expensive compared to water jet, plasma, or laser..

As expected the plasma does have quite a bit looser tolerances. For some things the tolerances won't matter so much, however it can cause issues for things such as bolt holes. In my test, it looks like I'll have to under size the holes a little and ream them out myself once the parts are cut.
I had really high hopes for the CNC plasma, since I'm thinking of purchasing a small table for personal use. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed. IMO, a plasma table is nice for prototyping, but for production work I'd probably still lean toward using a partner with a laser/water jet.
