Thanks Ty! It is the perfect rear end for a build like I'm doing... where you can see the entire rear end from the rear of the car. It would be a complete waste in a car that would hide it.

I would imagine that you're saving 10 to 15 lbs per side of unsprung weight. The calipers and rotors are inboard but you have the extra suspension parts and control arm pivot points so it's not a pure negative moving the brakes in.

Here's KUGELS answer to your "how much HP" question:

It's all a function of power to weight to traction. You could have a 1,000 HP on an average street rod and the tires would break loose before anything else would break conversely. A heavier car with great traction and 400 HP will be much harder on the same rear end. Our ends use the proven 9" Ford gears. Heavy duty Corvette u-joints and castors weld steel half shafts. We just don't have any breakage problems. For extra heavy duty high HP we have custom 4-bar auto hub uprights.

Here's a view of the front of this bad boy.... BTW the price of these is not for the faint of heart... You can buy a LOT of other parts for what these bring. Mine was just short of 15 grand - not installed.....
