So my wife and I have been tinkering with getting an SLR. I pulled the trigger on one for her for X-mas. I've had some experiences in the past that have made me pretty die hard Canon - -So I'm not really looking for advice related to, you should have bought - - -etc. etc..

Can any of you point me in the right direction for learning - -ie: Books, online tutorials etc.. I'm never going to be a pro, but I would like to be able to step slightly above the average idiot w/ an expensive (well for me at least) camera.
