I was standing right behind the "motion" guys after the auction just outside the big tent. I was there to hear it fire up but instead was treated to a ton of TV time that will most likely get chopped during a "on the block" episode.
anyhow, The interviewer from speed asked " are you happy with the sale price or was this all about bringing back the name?" those guys bit their tongues so hard I think I heard it....they were pissed after the cameras were turned off.....very pissed off!
biggest deal of the show......LOADED 29 Rod. It was a local built car by pinkies in loveland, Co. I've seen it many times this summer at shows. In talking with Russ from Strickly street Rods in Golden on the plane tonight.. the seller had over $400K in it and I believe it! too bad it sold for $190K...I was only cleared for 1/2 of that as a bidder ;-)
