no matter what camera you choose, make sure youre comfortable with it. as long as it does what you want to do, youll be fine.

Sony is not new to the D-slr market but i would say newer than say canon or nikon whom have been doing this forever haha. thats my only reason i dont reccommend sony being that they are newer to the game and im not sure about your options for it and glass quality on the lenses.
Field Guides will help me a lot.

Something is drawing me to the Sony but I still need to read more about the Sony's and the Canon's and their lenses. I may end up buying two camera's
