Yeah I thought the same thing, a Fiberglass nose with a layer of carbon I will be paining over. They really should offer the nose in non carbon too. Who knows maybe since I looked they have not sure.
I think the exposed carbon look done right is OK. Not my cup of tea but two that come to mind are Ty's Freedom Bird and Mary Posey's 2nd gen Camaro. Both have a small amount of carbon showing. Very tastefully done.
