Be careful when you start talking "pits". How deep are they? Those moldings are already thin and to take material away to get the pits out your talking paper thin after. The price sounds like a "show" polish is that what you asked for?
Also on window moldings make sure to mark the back sides with the curve it's supposed to have. I've used polishers in the past and get the moldings back and they are bent the other direction! I had a chrome shop buy a completely new set of moldings before, when they destroyed the original set.
