im curious about the 327 crank in a 400 block, if you are gonna use "production" block and crank? the only way that comes to mind is to use a medium journal 327 crank(350 mains) and bearing spacers in the 400 block.

this sounds like an rpm style combo, similar to nascar's 358" set-up, but only wanting to turn it 6k-7k, seems kinda pointless.

i say run a 3.75 stroke(400) in the 400 block, with the afr 195's, and your target should be pretty easy to reach. as the saying goes, there is no replacement for displacement.
