I will be putting in a V8 to replace the current OHC6, by the way.

The only upgrade I had in mind was putting in front disc brakes, and I planned to retain all other original parts (except those that need replacing).

However, I'm thinking since I wanna do this right the first time, I just might upgrade.

What do you guys suggest for a daily driver? Nothing fancy or expensive (unless absolutely necessary), just the essentials. By the way, I plan on putting in 15" TT 1 D Series rims and lowering the stance.

Thanks!
Hey ChickenLouie,
Thanks for throwing our hat in the ring!

We're not just for daily drivers though. Have you seen Carl Casanova's TVS-equipped '68 Camaro has really been a shining star and beat some big competition out on the autocross at the latest Super Chevy Magazine competition. His car is a very worthy street car that he takes to the track periodically.

You can purchase the parts in the TVS package, or you can buy the pieces separately.

Most enthusiasts find out the hard way that doing things twice gets really expensive and it sounds as though you realize that already. That's a good place to be.

To start, get some good shocks, springs (front and rear) and a front sway bar. If you want to handle even better you should look at some upper control arms and consider performing the Guldstrand Mod. The Guldstrand Mod works best with tubular upper arms, so you don't have to unnecessarily hack the frame to clear stock control arms. Subframe connectors are something that should not be overlooked. For handling, ours are the most effective while being the least invasive connectors on the market, while still allowing you to remove the rear leaf springs in the future.

If you have questions or need help during your planning process, feel free to give our tech department a call. 877-735-6425

It's easy to feel overwhelmed, but if you give us a call we'll talk you through everything you need, and the install is easy, so if you don't DIY, your shop won't be complaining about ill-fitting aftermarket parts. It's all bolt-on.
