Just wanted to follow up to let folks know what happened.

I went to the dealer and asked for my deposit back. Their sales manager comes out and starts talking about how nice it is blah, blah, blah. I simply state that I want my deposit back.

So, he pulls out the original paperwork, with the original agreed price and says that he will stick to that price. He was hoping that I would cover the cost to offset the additional equipment on the truck, but a deal is a deal.

I'm thinking about it at this point and ask what he will give me for a trade in on my Jeep Liberty.

He comes in with a trade ~$2k higher than I expected.

So, we did the paperwork and I drove it off the lot. Two whole miles on the odo as I turn on the main street from the dealership.

I still maintain that dealerships are a waste and we should be able to buy cars off of the Internet like books, etc.
