The LS2 and LS7 MAF tables are very different and it will need to be changed to run properly. As mentioned previously, it may run off the VE with the MAF unplugged, but then the IAT will not be operational.
Also, the LS7 MAF really needs a good straight length of tubing, preferably at least 8" or so, coming into the MAF and then at least 4" exiting. These keeps the airflow through the sensor as smooth as possible.
One other thing, the LS7 MAF sensors base configuration is based on about 4 inch tube that the air is traveling through as it passes the sensor. Going to anything more then a 1/4" difference in diameter will really throw off the base numbers. Even an 1/8" difference will make a decent change is calibration.
I suggest finding someone who can put in a good base program for you and save yourself a lot of aggravation later.
