If you really plan to run both drag and road track you need to spend some time with a few tech inspectors. As somebody in the middle of building a rollover protection system for a convertible right this very moment (well, during normal hours ) I'm pretty deep in the issues and have spent hours with inspectors. Since I only plan to autox and do some of the PT type events such as RTTH, Motor State and Heidts, I chose a route which is neither NHRA/IHRA or full SCCA/NASA legal.
Being in the same position, wanting to run autox and such, I would be VERY interested to know what you have learned would be the requirements. I'm finishing a build on an A-body vert. Thanks!!
