Default Thanks to all of you!

It's Monday 10AM

Thank you ALL so much for your positive thoughts, kind words, and prayers.

Dad is holding his own. He is immensely swollen (50+ pounds of excess fluid) but his heart is doing well, so are his lungs and he responds to being spoken to (squints eyes and squeezes fingers)....He is on dialysis to give his kidneys a chance to recover because the fluid load is completely overwhelming them. Hopefully this will reduce the fluid overall as the blood that goes back in has less fluid in it.... They have to do the dialysis slowly. It will be a long uphill battle for him.... Yesterday he had a surgery to just open his chest cavity and take a look to see how his bowel was doing... (which just has the mesh covering) and check his intestine, and there were no leaks and no "dead" sections of bowel. So, that was good. If he can stay infection free and not develop any leaks in the bowel...then he has a chance to recover. If anyone can do this, it's him.

Thank you all again from our family during this difficult time. -Rob
