tell your buddies to pencil the car in for some shop space the same time you return. make sure to call and remind them about it.
sounds like your really into the project, and i think that if you sell it, you will regret not keeping it and finishing it.
on a side note, the amount of time it takes to get parts, you could order them all now, and you MIGHT actually have them when you need them
