Thanks,
Couple reasons. I've read mixed reviews on whether or not you really gain much with a stock motor. Some guys were saying they've gained 20 hp, some have said they didn't notice any difference. With that in mind, it got me thinking if it was worth keeping it.

The main reason though.....I'm trying to make more of my purchases count so I can actually get my car done some time this decade. I started to make a list of what I still needed and I found that with keeping the FAST intake, I still needed to get a throttle body, which was $570 for the one I wanted, injectors which would have been around $200, fuel rails, etc. I started pricing out stock LS3 stuff and found that if I sold the FAST one, I could buy stock and almost have money left over.

So.........I sold the FAST intake for $700.

Picked up a 2010/2011 Camaro intake take off (100 miles) with stock fuel rails and injectors for $199 + shipping so $229.

I have a LS DBW intake coming which is going to be ported, polished and chrome powder coated (said to gain 18hp over stock) which will cost me $329 for everything. (PM me if anyone is interested in getting this done and I'll send you the link to where I'm getting it done. Great guy to deal with)

So now I'm at $568 and I have an intake, ported throttle body, injectors and stock fuel rails (which I will replace).

I found some billet fuel rails for $159 which would put me at $727. So for an extra $27, I have most of what would have cost me close to another $1000 if I kept the FAST intake.

Now if I decide to get the Mast Motorsports stuff (still haven't decided if keeping the VVT or not), it already comes tuned for a stock intake.

In a long winded answer....that's why I got rid of it. Makes sense to me anyways
