Chased down a 'whistling' noise in a motor install for a buddy..... after they'd put in a new GM grate engine. He hadn't hooked up the PCV on one of those SBC with the retro looking EFI Chevrolet put out.... and at idle the thing had a horrible whistling sound. They'd even gone so far as to take the tranny out TWICE.... and all it (the vacuum connection on the motor) needed was a simple hose.
