The teflon liner has to be cut very straight and clean. After cutting the hose I usually trim the very end of the liner with a razor blade to get it completely straight and remove any burrs or rough edges on the inside of the teflon liner. It sounds like this may be your issue; if the teflon isn't completely straight and burr-free it will leak.
